Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager, the Web Analytics Specialist will play a key role in managing and enhancing website analytics while driving data-driven decision-making across the business. This dynamic position offers a proactive professional the opportunity to lead advanced analytics initiatives, streamline data pipelines, and integrate cutting-edge technologies such as AI and machine learning into the company’s digital strategy. Additionally, the role includes oversight of cookie policy management, ensuring compliance and enhancing user experience.

Job Responsibilities

Analytics Strategy & Reporting
•    Lead the development and execution of the company's web analytics and data-driven insights strategy, aligning with industry trends.
•    Conduct advanced analytics using technologies such as Python and SQL to deliver actionable insights on user behaviour, campaign performance, and conversion optimization.
•    Generate comprehensive web reports, incorporating ETL pipeline outputs and Google Analytics data, to guide business decisions across multiple departments.


ETL Development & Data Management
•    Design, debug, and maintain ETL pipelines using technologies such as SQL, SSIS, and Python to automate the extraction, transformation, and loading of critical data.
•    Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate web analytics data with broader business reporting systems, including platforms such as Tableau.


Machine Learning & AI Integration
•    Explore and implement machine learning models to enhance website performance metrics, risk forecasting, and user experience personalization.
•    Use AI-driven predictive modelling to assess profitability and optimize marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
 

Job Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Optimization
•    Partner with marketing agencies to monitor PPC campaigns, leveraging machine learning to optimize expenditure tracking and results.
•    Analyse and enhance website speed and performance by identifying device/browser-specific issues.


Stakeholder Collaboration
•    Partner with key stakeholders to resolve data quality issues and ensure data integrity.
•    Collaborate with UX, Marketing and IT teams to test digital activations and website updates, integrating real-time insights for post-launch adjustments.


Security & Compliance
•    Manage Google Tag Manager and ensure compliance with cookie policy regulations and security protocols.
•    Assist with Imperva configurations and other tools to safeguard against suspicious web traffic and ensure clean, actionable data analytics.
 

Education

  • MSc in Data Science or similar

Experiences

•    4+ years of experience in analytics, ETL pipeline development, and data analysis.
•    Proficiency in Python, SQL, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and cloud-based data platforms.
•    Experience with machine learning libraries and advanced analytics tools is desirable.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead cloud migration projects.
