Product and Technical Wording Specialist

Job Overview

FBD Insurance plc invites applications for this position to contribute to the achievement of Governance objectives in the underwriting department with particular focus on assessment and development of product wordings and technical guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to the growth and the effective operation of Underwriting Governance through:-

• Engagement with Underwriting Managers to design, develop and maintain market leading product wordings.
• Drafting of wordings and internal technical guidelines for sign-off in conjunction with Underwriting Managers.
• Developing wording change proposals to strengthen and enhance product offerings. 
• Developing internal and market assessment processes for product wordings.
• Overseeing implementation of wording changes in conjunction with Documentation Change Manager.
• Assessing and enhancing documentation/wording change control processes.
• Supporting the continuous development of our technical processes and procedures to best standard levels.
• Leading the Product Oversight and Governance review process in conjunction with Underwriting Managers.
• Preparing and delivering product and technical training content.
• Update and enhance Underwriting training material, guidelines and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Education

Experiences

• Previous experience in a technical underwriting, contract drafting or product specialist role, OR
• Previous underwriting experience across a range of business lines

• Ability to seek out and use all available sources of information to make informed decisions and to solve problems.
• Constructive and supportive working style.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, SharePoint, Word & PowerPoint.
