Job Overview

To support our growth strategy, we want to recruit a Personal Lines Portfolio Analyst to support product development and portfolio analysis across our Personal Lines account.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new product offerings and implementing product change ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place.

In addition, the role will involve analysing internal and market data and trends to support the development and execution of Personal Lines strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Portfolio Managers with large product initiatives by identifying necessary product / pricing / process changes and manage from ideation to implementation.
  • Develop business requirements for pricing & product changes and developments. Work with IT on new solutions for improved product and controls infrastructure.
  • Market research and product monitoring to provide product comparisons, gap analysis, competitor insights in order to develop new propositions.
  • Undertake ongoing monitoring of the performance of the Personal Lines portfolios to track performance. Deliver key insights to enable effective decision making.
  • Develop reports/reporting frameworks and advance reporting requirements in conjunction with BI processes.
  • Ensure all product and underwriting guides and documentation is kept up to date with changes made.
  • Develop training material and present on product topics.
  • Work with other business areas/suppliers on plans and initiatives through developing requirements, research, analysis and compilation of reports and data. Co-ordinate meetings, workshops and forums on product topics.
  • Collaborate with other areas such as Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Claims and various external partners

Job Responsibilities

Education

  • Suitable Third Level Qualification/Insurance qualifications preferred but consideration will be given to those with the relevant aptitude and experience. 

Experiences

  • Previous experience in Insurance and knowledge of regulatory environment essential

Competencies

  • Interest and aptitude in data and analytics with good commercial judgement.
  • Accurate with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organization, analytical and presentation skills with an ability to discuss and explain report findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ambitious and energetic in their approach to their work and possess a positive outlook.
