Job Overview

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the jobholder will be a key member of the Financial Reporting Team, with responsibility for various reporting requirements of the Group.  

This is a permanent, full time, hybrid role based in Head Office, Dublin 12. Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting for various entities within the FBD Group. This will include involvement in the half-year and year-end reporting requirements for FBD Holdings plc and other entities of the Group to tight reporting deadlines.
  • Focus on technical accounting requirements of the Group and subsidiary companies, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS reporting standards.
  • Work closely with the ESG reporting team to ensure inclusion of new CSRD disclosure requirements for FBD Holdings Annual Report.
  • Manage the tax relationship with external Tax Consultants and responsible for the maintenance of the tax requirements of the Group.
  • Participate in project work as assigned to optimise processes and focus on improvement in the financial reporting of the Group. 
  • Implement process improvements across the financial reporting team, with focus on improvements to the annual close, particularly around production of Annual Report.
  • Mentor, develop and supervise more junior members of the team.

Job Responsibilities

Education

  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE 

Experiences

  • Strong academic background with a relevant degree
  • Experience in the production of IFRS financial statements
  • Experience in the Insurance industry and knowledge of reporting requirements for a listed entity an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
