About the Role
The Release and Environment Management team are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help operate, maintain, and evolve our integration and application platforms. The role focuses on ensuring stable environments, smooth deployments, strong automation practices, and ongoing improvements across both non‑production and production landscapes.
You will work across a range of platform technologies— primarily our IBM WebMethods integration platform—supporting dependable release processes and consistent environment management. This position plays a key role in enhancing our delivery pipelines and ensuring our platforms run efficiently and reliably.
You will collaborate closely with development, test, operations, and architecture teams to streamline processes, enhance automation, and contribute to the overall maturity of our DevOps practices. Experience working in a regulated or governed environment is beneficial, along with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and high‑quality operational support
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and support the IBM WebMethods integration platform (Integration Server, Deployer, Internal/External API Gateway)
- Manage the build & release process, and environment configuration across multiple environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the platform, working closely with the development & QA teams.
- Provide operational support for the platform – Monitor system performance, manage upgrades, patching, security, and access controls, clustering, performance tuning, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis
- Strong automation mindset – Continuous improvement and improvements to release processes.
- Support occasional application releases or urgent system incidents during evenings and at weekends.
Job Responsibilities
Education
- 3+ years experience in a release management, SRE, or DevOps engineer role.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as DevOps, Linux Administration, CI/CD, Azure - desirable.
Experiences
- Strong knowledge of the IBM WebMethods platform and the various components supporting it
- Demonstrable experience building and deploying containerised applications via Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with common DevOps tooling (Git, Bash, Python, Ansible, Jira, Bitbucket, Datadog)
- Experience administrating and deploying applications in both Windows and Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Experience working with and managing CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of APIs, REST/SOAP services, and messaging concepts.
- Cloud experience (Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- IBM webMethods certifications
- Java development background
