About the Role
FBD Life & Pensions (L&P) Operations invites applications for the position of Customer Service Administrator to join their high performing team. The L&P Operations team provides support to the team of Financial Advisors and supports the finance function for a Trust entity.
Job Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Life & Pensions Operations Manager who manages the team, the job responsibilities include the following:
- Organize supplier payments/invoicing.
- Ensuring adequate quality control is conducted over relevant Life and Pensions documentation, systems and processes. The role will entail carrying out reviews and reporting on results obtained which forms part of the qualifying criteria for Financial Advisor’s bonus payments.
- Posting of commission onto the Life and Pensions system in a timely fashion and reporting of commission to support the Financial Advisors in delivering excellent customer service.
- Encourage positive customer outcomes by identifying and promoting service improvements.
- Compliance of documentation and procedures in line with regulatory requirements e.g. Consumer Protection Code
- Provide support on reporting financial statement information to Finance in line with service level agreements.
- Assist with preparatory work for Internal and external audits where required.
Job Responsibilities
- Liaise with relevant departments regarding issues identified.
- Assist work related to the Control Register and recommend opportunities to strengthen controls.
- Attend service calls with the system provider for any system changes and monitoring open tickets to closure.
- Interaction with all relevant stakeholders including:

- Life Offices
- Other departments including Finance
- Life & Pensions Management
- Any other duties/responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned in line with company requirements including cross functional training of Operations activities to support department SLAs.
Education
- Ideally level 7/8 qualification, preferably in business or a related discipline;
- Working towards QFA or other relevant qualification
Experiences
- 1-3 years’ experience working in similar role (preferably in a Life & Pensions Brokerage);is an advantage-
- Experience in a busy office environment or similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of Life and Pensions practices and processes beneficial
- Effective communication skills.
- A high degree of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and expectations
Competencies
- High levels of motivation, with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team;
- Excellent attention to detail and good problem solving ability;
- Numerate.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Computer literacy with good working knowledge of the MS suite, particularly excel.
- Knowledge of sales compliance requirements and ability to apply this knowledge when required.
