Job Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to the management, control, monitoring and development of the commercial lines of business. They will work with all aspect of the business such as IT, Pricing, Sales and Claims to deliver objectives that align to our Company strategy. They will be responsible for preparing and analysing performance data to support the development and enhancement of the commercial business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Commercial Portfolio Analyst
  • Complete quality audit reviews in line with QA plan and provide feedback to stakeholders
  • Identify risks within the department and develop improvements or controls to minimise impact
  • Develop and maintain underwriting guidance documentation
  • Develop and deliver training material within underwriting and the broader business
  • Support commercial underwriting projects and initiatives
  • Support commercial operations teams with adhoc requests
  • Manage assigned schemes in line with SLAs and regulations
  • Manage complaints in line with FBD policy

Job Responsibilities

Education

  • Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP)

Experiences

  • Commercial underwriting experience is desirable
  • Experience in reporting tools such as SQL and Tableau are desirable.

  • Quality focused to provide excellent output and meet deadlines as required
  • Excellent keyboard skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and an active desire to develop knowledge and experience
  • Accurate with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation, time management, analytical and presentation skills
  • Good relationship development skills and capable of working proactively with the commercial underwriting teams and cross functionally
  • Ambitious and energetic in their approach to their work and possess a positive outlook.
