Job Overview

You will be reporting to the Assistant Claims Manager and the Head of Claim Support. 
You will deliver excellence in claims management with particular focus on managing service providers, monitoring the quality of the service delivered and providing support to the Claims Department.
 

Job Responsibilities

Assist the Assistant Claims Manager with the delivery of the claims service provider management framework for your allocated service providers. 
This includes:
•    Comply with FBD’s Outsourcing Policy and Procurement Policy & Procedure and liaise with the FBD Head of Procurement & Outsourcing Governance and the FBD Risk Function
•    Comply with relevant regulatory requirements, e.g. Consumer Protection Code and Data Protection legislation and liaise with the FBD Compliance Function and FBD Data Protection Function as required
•    Ensure that contracts are in place with each provider, or an agreement with Head of Procurement & Outsourcing Governance is obtained if contracts are not required in specific circumstances
•    Ensure timely update of contracts
•    Monitor service levels and ensure the delivery of key performance indicators. This includes owning the periodic business review meetings with service providers
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers
•    Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and cost savings
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Engage with all stakeholders and seek resolution on claims vendor performance issues
•    Regularly evaluate and report on vendor performance, addressing any areas of concern
•    Address and resolve issues promptly, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
•    Ability to understand Claims Management and Vendor Management team’s data needs and work with service providers and FBD Management Information team to get appropriate reporting and oversight to provide meaningful analysis on vendor performance and claims handling costs
•    Provide stakeholder updates on vendor management results through reporting on the key metrics
•    Promote a compliance and control mind-set that ensures that all activities are undertaken to the highest standards of customer service and in strict compliance with FBD’s regulatory and other obligations
•    Define and drive an action plan to deliver savings (manage service consumption, negotiate vendor fees, find opportunities for improvement) across FBD’s Claims Function.
•    Conduct market research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery and quality
•    Your role will be to support the Assistant Claims Manager to launch and drive procurement initiatives in order to decrease vendor spend. You may need to liaise with other claims stakeholders to understand the context and drivers of the claims management activities.
 

Education

•    The candidate will ideally have a minimum of a third level degree and or professional qualification in Insurance, Accounting, Auditing or Risk Management discipline.
•    Qualified to Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP) or Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP).

•    Ideal candidate will have proven work experience in Vendor Management.
