Job Overview

This role reports to the Head of Claims Governance and offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of Claims’ control framework. Operating within the First Line of Defence, you will work closely with the Claims Risk & Compliance Manager and Head of Claims Governance to play a key role in embedding a strong risk and compliance culture in Claims.

Job Responsibilities

  • Liaising with key stakeholders in the business on governance-based projects or reviews (eg CPC).
  • Implementation of new legislative or regulatory changes at Department level, ensuring business readiness/awareness.
  • Assessing new and efficient ways to achieve requirements through a continuous improvement led mindset.
  • Assessing functional policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the Company’s compliance requirements and overall best practice.
  • Developing guidelines, procedures on technical, regulatory and risk topics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight and execution of key controls for the Governance Team.
  • Supporting 1.5 line with RCSA, Emerging Risks and Control Testing processes.
  • Promote a positive risk and compliance culture and awareness through the development and roll out of appropriate and tailored training/communications for staff.

Education

 

  • CIP qualified

Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Claims or a risk-based role
  • General Insurance or Financial Services background
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment
  • Previous experience in Change Management or Project Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
